On 'keep what you raise' you will receive all funds pledged (minus fees) regardless of whether the target is reached or not
Use an online press release distribution service like PR Log (https://www.prlog.org) to get your story out to a worldwide audience. Even if it doesn't result in lots of coverage, the backlinks will be great for SEO.
